More about me

Hi! I’m Liz and I am so excited to be back in The Sandhills of North Carolina! I grew up in Moore County, NC where I lived with my parents, three brothers, and golden retriever. From a young age I knew I wanted to be a performer. My earliest memories are of me singing songs from Grease and Sound of Music for anyone who was around to listen. I was very fortunate to attend Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines where my passion for the performing arts grew. I was an active member of the choral and theatre departments, holding leadership positions in both.

I attended Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC where I earned my Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance. While there, I held leadership positions in the MU Chorale, Grace Notes Treble Choir, and the MU Chapter of the National Association for Music Educators. I also graduated with a Minor in Theatre and performed in the musicals all four years of my time at Methodist. I graduated summa cum laude in May 2021.

After graduating from Methodist, I moved to Clinton, MS ( a suburb of Jackson) where I completed my Master of Music Degree at Mississippi College in Voice Performance and Pedagogy. While there, I was a graduate assistant where I helped develop Lyric Stage at MC, the music theatre program for the music department. I served as Assistant Director for Godspell, Director for Trial by Jury, Head of Fundraising, and Social Media Director for the program. I also performed in all four shows, including A Picnic in the Country: An Afternoon of Operatic and Musical Theatre Scenes, Godspell, Trial by Jury, and Little Women. I also completed a lecture recital entitled “Musical Theatre and Popular Music: How Popular Music Genres and American Musical Theatre Have Interacted Over the Past 80 Years.”

Since graduating in May, 2023 with my Master’s Degree, I have been teaching voice and acting in Jackson, MS. I worked with all ages kindergarten to senior citizen as a voice teacher and kindergarten to high school as an acting teacher. I also briefly taught at Mississippi College in the voice department, covering a maternity leave for one of the voice professors.

As most performing artists do, I spend most of my time in rehearsals. I have over 30 stage credits as an actor and have recently started directing. My two most recent productions have been serving as director for Musical of Musicals at Blackrose Theatre Company in Brandon, MS and Tiny Tim’s Christmas Carol for Brickstreet Players in Clinton, MS. I also regularly perform with choirs as both a soloist and member of the choir.
